Sega Collection: 30 games on your PS2 or PSP
12 posts • Page 1 of 1
Im deff getting the PSP version... Hopefully they have co-op Altered Beast and Golden Axe on there... Or online Virtual Fighters... Only thing this is lacking is Street of Rage or Shining Force... They dont need to put all 3 Streets of Rage on there... Just #2... Since thats the best out of the 3...
They should have also thrown in Zero Wing for comedic effect...
Some games are cool and worth getting because they were never on anything else but genisis. Most of them are still games that are constantly repeated like vectorman.
Honestly, most of that stuff I can already play on Gametap... yeah I can't take it on the go (PSP)... but truthfully I think for me to pay that much to play the games *again*, i'd like to see some of the re-mastered versions (sega ages or whatever it was called) show up as well.
I dunno, I have the Sega Classics Collection disc, and I must say I was disappointed in the quality. Like, in the redone version of Golden Axe -- the game actually slows down during a scene where a waterfall appears in the background. If this new collection doesn't suffer the same shortcomings the previous PS2 collection did, I may trade up for it in the future. DT
Jesus, I wish they'd just release Sakura Taisen here in English already... That was one of my favourite games back on the SEGA systems. (Of cource, I couldn't read Japanese, so I got a pirated/translated Chinese version. But then again, non-pirated stuff back then in China was pretty scarce)
Gametap isn't available outside of US. WHAT THE F***? It's a digital download! why the HELL do you have to be in the US to use it? I'm looking forward to playing Comix Zone, Ecco, and Phantasy Star on my PSP.
(1) Copyright (2) Encryption Export Laws (I think) namely, the first one. They aren't licensed for use outside the US. Blame Time Warner's legal team for that one . Or perhaps the licensors.
In China, they just don't care. MAME, roms, and emulators are legal software. In fact, all GBA carts I bought in China (In China's Walmart and Jusco [a Japanese supermarket chain.] mind you.) they all were ROMS inside! Like for example. Kirby: Fountain of Dreams, which I bought in the Walmart in my hometown, had the Eurasia (A ROM distributor) screen when I turned it on.
And games are the equivelent of ~$1-2 dollars US too. Even PC games. HOW CRAZY IS THAT??? 8O 8O 8O
Of course, not ALL of us played those games. Ever.
Good for dad, good for the kidsWell, I'll definatelly be gettig this one. It has enough good games that I can remember playing and also some more tame for the munchkins.
Also, Gametap isn't available in Mexico, so it's no good to me down south. But from thine eyes my knowledge I derive.
