Damn, you beat me to it.
I can't believe this... E3, the biggest show for the gaming industry, cancelled? It has to be a joke...
And I was so looking forward to going when I'm 18 too.
THANKS A LOT ESA! YOU'VE DESTROYED ONE OF MY LIFE DREAMS!!! I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY!!!

Don't blame the ESA.
Blame the large publishers who figured E3 wasn't worth attending anymore.

You are pissed off? Try living in Canada. Not a single major convention has ever graced the face of Canada in all 7 years of me being here. This is bullshit!!!

Nah. E3 bombed out big time when it was on the East Coast (Atlanta).
Besides, WEst Coast is a perfect compromise for Japanese companies to travel to the US. Adding 6 hours to their flights would make them a cranky bunch.

New Developments today...
ESA president reveals 2007 expo will be held in July at Los Angeles hotel--and will only have around 5,000 attendees.
The ESA calls the "new E3" a "more intimate event focused on targeted, personalized meetings and activities". It will still take place in Los Angeles, but will not feature the large trade show environment anymore. According to Douglas Lowenstein, ESA's president, it's "no longer necessary or efficient to have a single industry 'mega-show" as other events like the Tokyo Game Show and Games Convention have emerged since the first E3 twelve years ago.
And it seems that the Leipzig Games Convention will take the place of the "Mega show" that E3 was... And of course that is in Germany so most of us American folks wont get the Mega game show... Regardless we all saw this coming... Especially after the long long LONG line for the Wii at this past E3... But for the time being many of our childhood dreams are smashed right now[/quote]
