Hello OLRmy...

Orange Lounge Radio is currently experimenting with the idea of adding Video Game Cover songs into it's ever-expanding daily playlist. Those of you listening to the 24/7 playlist this week may have noticed new adds by Video Game Cover bands.

We're looking for more cover bands with quality recordings (no live 'crowd noise' tracks) to be played on the station, and possibly even be invited to future podcasts. Yeah the minibosses have some pretty badass NES covers:

Ninja Gaiden
Super Mario 2/USA
Ikari Warriors (ABBA, LOL)

They have more, those are just the ones off the site.

I absolutely love Frontalot, but he is not a video game cover band. He's just nerdcore hiphop.

We could put Which MC Was That in rotation if we don't already, since it's in ITG, if you guys want Frontalot.

At any rate... some of the unsigned (I think they were unsigned at least) Guitar Hero bands would be great to hear from.
(You know, all the bonus songs you had to buy. None of the licenses that you unlocked in Career mode.)

idk im a sucker for all the orchestrated versions of game soundtracks... Like the stuff they played at the Video Games live concerts... But the raw soundtracks are hard to come by because all the stuff i can find is crappy fan recordings with idiots in the backround going nuts during the song and saying "OMG SONIC FTW"...

btw The Advantage are also a pretty good VG cover band
