Wish me luck...Im going to my first DDR tournament in about a year tommarow. I hope I do well I didn't even have to pay to enter, on account i do the regular maintanence on the machines
Yeah I'm entering my 1st tourny on saturday. I'm not all that great but I have a good advantage since it will be 5th mix only, so no people putting on speed mods will lower their score but does nothing for me since I only play on x1. I'll be happy enough if I beat at least 2 people so have fun!
Re: Wish me luck...Wait. You said you'll be going to a tourney in a year tommorow. So good luck in a year?
Re: Wish me luck...
he means that it will be the first tounament he been to in a year... and its over by now right?
Re: Wish me luck...Oh. Thanks for the explaination. I was trying to figure out if he meant to say something else. Like he didn't mean to type year but i couldn't figure out what he was intending to say. XD
Well my story has some more complications. I was signed up for 5th mix PA but something got screwed up and I wasn't really in it. So I entered the extreme edit challenge even though I know my ass would be kicked. There were a few assholes that played over and over before matches and would yell at me or give weird looks if I tried to get in, so I was only able to play twice and once was with someone else who insisted on picking the songs. So when I actually went up this girl started to cry and was given extra points out of pity. During the 2nd song she just jolted off the machine, very weird. People complained about the 1P side when the problem was really not bad and you could rarely notice.
I decided that after that experience I will not go to another tourny for many months.
I don't like going to tournaments anymore (even though I am going to one this Saturday ) because I don't think they are as fun anymore. It's wayy too competitive, and everyone is just as good as eachother now.
I think DDR loses its touch after you start to AA/AAA everything, or at least that's what I think.
