Are you a Guitar Hero or are you in a RockBand?

Are you a Guitar Hero or are you in a RockBand?I am a Guitar Hero(coming from someone who can play Through The Fire and Flames on expert)
Re: Are you a Guitar Hero or are you in a RockBand?I buy Guitar Hero games for myself since my friends tend to play Rock Band when I visit them. That said, I tend think Rock Band is overall my preferred music game, just because of the different aesthetic of it. Though I do love the new Guitar Hero controller.
Re: Are you a Guitar Hero or are you in a RockBand?I'm a proud member of the RockBand Spock's Eyebrows.
Re: Are you a Guitar Hero or are you in a RockBand?I prefer Rock Band, but I love both series. The drums really appeal to me.
Re: Are you a Guitar Hero or are you in a RockBand?I've got to say guitar hero, since I grew up playing it (since the 1st guitar hero). Just like you, I thought of it as great when I first played through the fire and the flames on expert (and completed it). I can see how people could like rockband better, since it draws people in with the different types of instruments. But what I want to say is, Rockband pretty much stole guitar hero's idea. The moving platform you play your notes on in guitar hero was designed to be the Neck of your guitar. I don't think rockband quite grasped that part when they went and put drums on it. More to the point, guitar hero 1, 2, and 3 have been out for at least a year (well, 1 & 2 anyways), and then something like rockband came out, it's not really a mystery of where they got it. I'm not really accusing Rock band of stealing, more of just "borrowing" the idea, and being smart enough to put different instruments in the game. So rockband is both a new-comer to a series of games, and a pioneer in it's own way.
I made a new Gamertag, it's progressing slowly, but it has progress. Thought about doing something funny/stupid with it (editing) but I couldn't think of anything.
Re: Are you a Guitar Hero or are you in a RockBand? The irony of this of course is that Guitar Hero 1 and 2 were made by Harmonix, who later made Rock Band after losing the Guitar Hero IP. The two games had largely the same development team.
Meaning they literally stole from themselves.
