Comment, YES!I have one comment on Part A. Thank you so much for making me aware of the Texas Hold 'Em free offer (good now thru Aug 24). I think $10 is a bit high for this game. MS knows that the Xmas crowd is coming, and they will want to spend points! I wished there had been an official XBLA announcement by Monday, but no. My early morning play in Single mode revealed a not-to-clever AI.
On Part B, I had an Impossible Mission for the Lynx. It was 3D. Wait? 3d? It didn't resemble the original much, but I really liked it. Essentially, it was a horizontal version, hallways instead of floors. I think I still have it. Epyx made all 4 games for the Lynx before it died. There were actually more games than that, but what a pretty console! And the original Chip's Challenge, too. Perhaps it was Impossible Mission 2025 that you hated? EDIT: I think there was actually an announcement, but it was not obvious. Also, on the Star Trek game, a current game, Star Trek Shattered Universe, is a beautiful tribute to some episodes and movies of the Original Star Trek Series and movies. I can remember a nebula level (like Wrath of Khan), a space dock level (like The Motion Picture), Tholian Web, the giant space Amoeba, and a giant ping-pong ball ship. I can't remember the episode of ST:OTS, but they took a styrofoam ball, stuck Ping Pong balls with Christmas lights in them on the outside of the ball and called it a ship. And it was obvious. The whole premise of the game was similar to Mirror, Mirror, only the crew ended up in one of the infinite parallel universes when it shattered. Oh yeah, the game is actually fun.
Re EPYX:
California Games: DS sounds awesome, though they definetly could've had an 'enhanced mode' that takes advantage of the 2nd screen, in addition to the 'Original' mode... but I see what they're saying. I mean look at 'Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run'... Now the guy is getting out of his vehicle? No thanks Midway, I'll pass. (And no you don't put Bill Bellamy in anything LOL) And Fast and the Furious: Oregon Trail Drift FTW. AND WHATS WITH THE NEW GAME? 23M AS SOON AS I GET HOME YOU ARE TOAST. And poor Miklotov lol DT
If we keep making fun of Miklotov and his Suikoden love he's not gonna want to come on the show anymore...
Mikky's one of my best friends, he was actually on the show a handful of times before he ever worked at Konami. We give each other shit all the time But if you guys think I'm being too harsh I'll back off but only a little bit heheheheheh
Classical MusicThe song in Gyruss is "Toccatta and Fugue in D-minor," by Bach, but jazzed up a bit. That particular song is in a lot of scary soundtracks, inspired, in part, or in whole. If you ever need a royalty-free song, you grab a classical piece, as they're in the public domain.
(Thank you, Mr. Know-it-all!)
