Nintendo of Japan released this survey on the smashbros site asking for fans to share their ideas on which characters should included in the new installment of the game for the Wii... This is a great opertunity for our requests and fanboy dreams to be heard... Only problem is that its in Japanese but im sure for the few who can read and speak japanese they wont have a problem... But judging from this move they are far from being done with the game... Meaning we probally wont see this on the shevels till next summer at the earliest


i did though manage to babel fish the instructional part of the survey... And according to it they are also looking for music requests too... Idk what type of music they are looking for but im hoping 20,000 dont ask for Linkin park or something...

Nintendo got the music right with the last 2 times.
I hope if they license anything, it'll be licensing remixes from talented VGMusic artists.
They don't need to license pre-existing vocal songs by pop artists, they need to keep the trend and continue with immersive video game music, preferably inspired from the original games.

Good stuff, and I hope Nintendo continues it's upstreak.

Me and my friends were talking about characters that should be in the game..

Viewtiful Joe would be a wise descision, I could imagine him being a Zelda-esque character who could change identities using Down+B

Alucard from Castlevania seems like a smart move (My idea )

My friend suggested Plusle and Minun from Pokemon as a team (Sort of like the Iceclimbers in Melee)

We thought of having wiser choices of Pokemon to be used as characters. Maybe Hitmonlee/chan?

Banjo and Kazooie?

Paper Mario?

The Pacman thing is out there but Namco and Nintendo did team up for the Mario Kart arcade game... idk i agree with most of the list but if they cant put any of these guys as playable characters then they can possibily have them as items...

Hmm, I might fill this out later even if it means babelfishing answers.

They already have Pit. That alone was my biggest wish out of a new Smash Bros, and if that trailer is any indication, they did it even better than I could have hoped for. I'm hoping to see the old characters back, like Fox, Ness and Falcon. In fact, I'd be surprised if they weren't. The little fish from Clucluland would be funny, even if it was just an item. And since this is a fighting game, why not someone from the Punch-Out!! games? Bald Bull's been in like three different titles as it is, might as well make him a staple.

I could be a dick and say StarMan from Pro-Wrestling, but I won't.

I would say Sonic, if only because that alone would make for the biggest crossover since Capcom Vs. SNK. But it looks like they got their crossover with Snake, so that may be out of the question.

What about 5-Volt from warioware....i liked that kid!

depends on who owns the rights. Nintendo still owns DK. and frankly, it should have never left the 2d realm. rare fucked up on 64.

IIRC, Everything not in Donkey Kong Country belongs to Rare. Banjoo, Kazooie, Conker (which we've seen on old Xbox), pretty much everything in Diddy Kong Racing that's not Diddy Kong.

I carefully looked up the Japanese character names and game titles and filled them in when I requested these characters:

Sonic (Sonic Wild Fire - Wii)
Shinobi (Revenge of Shinobi - Genesis)
Kooh (Albatross18 - Wii)

Edit: Come to think of it, I should have thrown in more Sonic characters. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy all have plenty of fighting game experience and would do just fine in Smash Bros.
