It was released in Japan as a bundle with Mother 1 on the GBA.

I think it's a little late in the game for Mother 3 since it's coming for the Gameboy Advance though.

I think it should have been a DS title.

It happened a little bit back. It's not very popular here, I don't think Earthbound did very well. Even though it has a bit of a following, I don't think it would sell that well for the most part. It's too bad really.
