Burnout Revenge 360 - looking forward to it?

Postby lordkaosu » Wed Jan 11, 2006 5:19 am

Just curious if anyone is really looking forward to the 360 version of Burnout? I sort of was but popped in the XBox version last night for the first time in about 2 months and only did 3 races. I sort of sucked for not being on so long, but I really am not into the game like I used to be. I played the hell out of it. I don't think there will be enough new stuff in a new version to really get me all excited again, I've already played the forgoodness sake out it.

Then again, I don't even own a 360 and all my shit is hooked up composite cables on an old tv so I wouldn't get new HD prettiness.

You know to be honest you still get a great picture with just composite cables. That's mainly what we use at work. At home I use my VGA cables to play on my PC monitor. The difference is minimal. I think the game will be great but it's not really different from Revenge on XBOX or PS2. It's mainly a port with 10 more crash junctions and better graphics. That's it.

I think I've just played Revenge to death as it is, I get bored of games after going through them over and over. If it wasn't for being online, I would've quite playing a while ago. Same reason I finally quit DDR, after owning every import for the PS1 and every US game up to Extreme 2, I had enough arrow stomping.

I really wish it was an actual sequel and not just a pretty port coming out, it may push me to get a 360 then. I'm still gonna hold off for now.

That reminds me, a few months ago I was playing some Revenge on Live some fellow I was racing with at the time mentioned something about a survey he got in an email from EA about adding weapons and other stuff like that to Burnout. It sounded a lot like Full Auto really. Have you seen anything of this survey that was going around? I don't remember if I ever registered with EA on Burnout so I never got it, or it went to Yahoo junk mail and I never looked.

Nope, I haven't seen that. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to copy that.

well I did read somewhere that they don't want the game to be the same as the xbox version. They were revamping the online mose and wnat people to buy it as a seperate game with extra features.

Maybe they'll fix the bugs, nothing sucks more then falling through the floor. You float in limbo for a few seconds before you make it back on the road and have to start from 0mph. It's pretty much a lost race after that. I dunno if the PS2 version is as bad, but I have to say I laugh everytime I hear someone say "Glitch Mountain" on Live.

I'll probably be getting the 360 version...=/...I'm still thinking about it though, seeing as how I still highly enjoy the Xbox version I have....but I'll probably end up getting it anyways. X_x...I always seem to fall for these "*gamenamehere*PLUS". =/
