One of my friends was caught Farming gold while using a seperate program than WoW... I also heard that this happend to about 18,000 other people over the course of 3 months... but im wondering if anyone here has been caught with the same thing?

The story is true, we talked about it on this weeks podcast... don't know anyone personally that got banned though. I'd bet a pretty good amount that a good concentration of the accounts belonged to shady gold farming orginizations in other countries.

I know 2 peole who have gotten perm-bans on their account. One person was in my guild and got the ban for being aracist asshole in general chat. I have no sympathy for him as shortly after he got to 60 he left for an uber-guild. The other person had 2 60s both in full epic gear from Blackwing Lair and his little brother got the account banned for insulting pretty much everyone you can insult. That said, he doesn't have a little brother anymore
