Oh, all it is is(is is?..heh) constantly drift-boosting. I'd call is maybe a little cheap at the best but not much more then that. It makes sense really to gain speed on large-wide strips, and it won't work on all courses by any means, only large open tracks(like the figure 8 track shown, and maybe Baby Park and crap like that). I doubt it would work on places like Bowsers Castle where you don't have the extra room.
Actually- I saw it on Rainbow Road... but the person fell off one time, heh. Yeah I kinda think it must be a bunch of drift boosts too but wow you must have to shake that little d-pad a lot, which can't be good for it
So today I had too much store credit at EBGames and decided to get myself a DS and get over whichever complex I had. I was in the mood for Advance Wars so I got that, besides, I was 10$ short from MKDS. I'll be getting it shortly.
However, something interesting that's come up is this site: http://dsmeet.com Essentially, it's going to be this huge WiFi community site. I've heard that they might be doing little things involving direct access to the Nintendo servers for many things including dynamic player pictures in the future. And that would kick ass. It's in alpha, but damn, if they can make it awesome, it would be perfect, maybe even mentionable on the podcast. edit: And no, I'm not paid to mention it, but my friend runs the site. At least check it out.
Your nuts, I love Rainbow Road. Maybe not as much as the Gamecube version had, but it's still a blast. Rainbow Road has always been sort of a highlight track. Only thing that sucks is Bowser, for some reason he hits much harder then DK or Wario when you bump him and my lil Dry Bone goes a-flying off the edge, damn near no way around it. Luckily, hardly anyone uses Bowser, seems like I've seen more Yoshi's then anything.

Jason... I will put your eye out, don't mess with me. :p
I <3 Rainvbow Road for the music, but I'm not crazy enough to do tricks and stunts on there. ^^
I was thinking... Maybe we should all get together in an AIM or the olr chatroom and jump onto the WFC and play each other.
Well, I had my first obvious case of snaking last night. It sucks much more then I thought it would. After waiting 10 minutes of waiting I finally got 3 other people to play. Well, that was the last I saw of 2 of them, one guy was damn good and I couldn't even touch him. One guy was fair but not that great at is, at least he never got all that far ahead(as much as the other guy) and the other guy didn't snake and it pretty much became a fight for 3rd place between us. Well, I actually just said fuck it and dropped out by race 2. Snaking does indeed suck more then I said before, and Nintendo has made one of the worst online matching systems I've seen as well. Screw it, I doubt I'll be playing Mario Kart online anymore. I'm almost baffled as to why such a hugely popular game I have so much trouble finding others to race. Sitting around for 10 minutes waiting on opponets is rediculous.
Oh well, nice try Nintendo. It's not like online play is a new concept, they should've been able to put together a decent system this late in the game.
I'm might be getting a new friend code soon.I might be getting a new friend code sometime soon. My DS's L button crapped out for what seems to be no reason at all... I'll post it here if I get a new DS.
Re: I'm might be getting a new friend code soon.
Last I heard of, it's based on the copy of the game and not the DS... But I could be wrong. (Hey BigRedPimp, we have Loki on our side )
