Finished unlocking everything this morning. The new title screen looks great, I love how they threw that in for the complete deal(unlike those stupid time-of-day changes in Super Circuit). I still have 3 mission modes to complete and a boss to finish the game completely though, all of the missions are easy until level 6, there's still a few I just can't get down. I was surprised since I jsut blew past the rest. Overall, I really don't care for the mission mode much though. They're not particularly fun. I think I only play them to take a break from racing to just to complete the game and that's it.

I'm still not finding many people online either, although maybe it's due to the holiday.

Finally, I tried to connect from another hotspot. I'm not sure where, I think it might have been a nearby Holiday Inn or something that offered a hotspot(it was actually named skyline, and there were 2 so I don't think it was someone's personal). Sure enough it didn't connect. I actually forgot Nintendo said the only hotspots that will work are McDonalds and your personal wireless(unless you have the adapter). So much for that, it sure would be nice if you could use any hotspot.

Nevermind, beat the game on mission mode as well now. Yoshi's 14-drift lap took several tries to get down, it doesn't leave much room for error. To top it off, I hate those power drifts and rarely use them so squeezing them in every turn like that sucks. That was really all that had me doing a lot of redos.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like anything else unlocks and no new title screen. You just are forced to watch the credits(again).

Overall, looking back on this game, it's fantastic still. Nintendo really did an excellent job on it. If only the online mode worked a little easier then hoping you'll get 3 other people to race with.

Somebody I played today actually was cheating. His kart was randomly bouncing around the track erratically so I could hit it with a shell and he would have almost no downtime if I hit him with anything. Literally impossible to beat. I can't believe people stoop that low.

That always sucks, I've been lucky so far, or at least I haven't noticed anything. Unfortunately, that just seems to come with online play.

Friend of mine discovered it and I started doing it, but no to the point of cheating, just to keep up.

The way I do is that I don't boucne around on the track.

I don't hop a lot. You hop and then you keep presing left and right, like you're slithering like a snake. If you do it right, you can easily catch up to someone or keep your distance.

That's odd, maybe that's what happened in one race where the guy was rediculously far ahead. I thought I just sucked. Who knows, maybe I do just suck..heh.

That's exactely what I saw. I understand the whole snaking thing. I sorta do that using the drift boosts. But the whole seizure thing is what had me pissed.

I also found a videoclip of snaking to help explain.
