Wii browser online!hey guys, the opera browser is up and running. no problems so far, but im hurting for a keyboard. and yes, this was posted using it
Wonderful: have you had alot of trouble with yours... Mine keeps freezing and making me have to Hard Restart my Wii...
Grah, I was going to do the whole "I'm typing this from my Wii" thing, but I got distracted by Mean Bean Machine.
I really don't like the browser. It's ugly (hardly surprising since it's Opera), annoying to control and text is difficult to read, even when zoomed in. Plus, am I the only one who notices the eerie silence while browsing? I hope they include a custom soundtrack option in the final release.
Eh, I wish there was a choice to choose to skin it. I use Opera and am currently using the WMP11 skin and it looks fantastic. Is the "wand" option inculded in the Wii version though? That's one of the things that got me from MF to OB, that and that I couldn't start Firefox after one day for some reason.
im pretty disappointed that it doesnt support BGM or AVI files right away... but im sure it will once the full version come out...
Matt:I haven't had any problems with it. No lag or drops or anything really. But I've only been on it for about a half hour.
I've been using Opera for about 2 years now, and it's a pretty natural extension of that product. I'd like to see some more options, like the ability to add favorites... but it's still a beta. There's no visible toolbar and the default screensize is TINY. You have to zoom in to read the font on the OLR main page. The browser is pretty rad, but I agree, let's see some music. Browsing in silence is offputting.
ssj100matt: I had to do a hard restart of my Wii yesterday. The browser just made like a bleep noise and froze.
