According to Kotaku it seems that Nintendo is going to offer people Wii-mote strap replacements if you purchased an original one... You have to fill out a form located in the link below... They say on the site they expect to start shipping the straps by Dec. 21 and it will take five to nine days for delivery.
Lately some Nintendo products have been having issues (DS lite cracks and this), but i have to give them props for handling this properly and professionally...
Ive already ordered my replacement straps. I don't use the Wii-mote like a dumbass like half the people who have, but i do have a lot of idiot friends who will be playing with it in due time...

Edit: As a side note apparently Nintendo of Japan is also replacing 200,000 AC adapters for the DS and DS lite... I havent read a reason why yet but this wont effect anyone else's DS overseas

Wii-Mote Strap Recall/ReplacementsLast edited by ssj100matt on Fri Dec 15, 2006 11:23 am, edited 2 times in total.
It is not a recall!!! :DIt is a replacement, NOT a recall (reffering to the Thread Subject. ).
Sorry, i've been a smart-ass lately, must be the medicine (2 wisdom teeth removed ) edit: Nevermind, you fixed it.
I just got my replacement straps in yesterday... They really made the straps pretty thick... Also they seemed to have double my order so i now have 2 extra replacement straps... In the package it also came with a piece of paper Warning people of the obvious; "Dont let go of the Wii-mote while playing", "Watch out for people around you".... Goodjob Nintendo...
