Hey, we haven't forgotten our roots as a Music Video Game station. Talk about DDR/IIDX and all that note smashing here.

I don't know if there is already a thread for this..but...here goes.
Is anyone going to be buying the game?

Personally. I'm going to buy the controller, then use it to play my imports.
Right now i play IIDX with a dualshock.

*laughs* it isn't that bad. I usually play 5keys. It isn't that hard. I can pass mostly everything on 8th style.

You're in for a big change on 7 keys and a real controller. At the very least you might have a leg up on reading the notes.

I'm going to buy Beatmania when it hits the US. However, I wonder if non-Bemani gamers will like the game. My concern is that the game will be too hard for most people to continue beyond a few hours of play.
I have to confess my first 5-key Beatmania 4th Style+Core game sat on the shelf for over a year because I didn't give it enough time to learn the basic motorskills. I found IIDX to be much more rewarding, but it had a difficult learning curve, too.
I hope it does well!

keys feel slightly different, i'm pretty sure they've worked on the "sticking" problem.
