You're complaining about a lack of speed mods in online mode, but you're going to go back to playing a game that is ENTIRELY speed mod-less?

OMGZ CONTRA-DICTION. :O
Your either being really sarcastic or a fool... You buy a game for the online mode but you go off to play a game that doesnt have one at all (let alone speed mods like Jason said)? The online mode is already crappy, theres no way it would be able to support speed mods for say one person... Like say someone doesnt want to play with that crap on (like me), it wouldnt be able to handle one person playing with it on and the other person playing with it off... That would end up creating lag and Konami knows we wouldnt want that.... If you wanted it on, it would require both people play with it on... And thats even worse than not having it at all... You shouldnt have to force someone to play with Speed Mods... Personally i hate speed mods (like 1.5x) because they make some songs easier *cough* 5x on Bag *cough*.... But in all seriousness if you are trying to be a smart consumer than you should have checked the reviews/info on the game before buying it... Because you seem to be a very particular person when it comes to a game like this...
i say that the online mode was a big improvement because they let u choose who u want to play against
and u can chat as well, i haven't had a full chance to sit down, or stand up as it may to give my full oppion but so far i think this will be a good version of ddr for the home users.
I really do not like the stellar dance mode garbage. I do not like being forced to play beginner songs (BORING).
But some of the unlocks are really nice, and it's good to be able to practice some the step patterns at home. A little dissapointed that all the licences from the arcade did not make it into the home version.
In no way do you ever have to play beginner songs, except if you just do the normal showdowns I guess but that's still nothing.
I have it, and I think it's pretty good.
The only things I don't like are, the pretty backgrounds are gone (The stages are nice, but I like the pretty background movies better) And I kinda miss some of the characters. (Akira, Yuni, Naoki, alice) I don't like having 10 of the same character in different outfits.
I agree. Surely they could've had room for both BG movies and characters, so that you could choose one or the other. (They did force movies on for the music video songs, but if they could do it there, why not in the rest of the game?) Game still kicks ass, though. DT OLRmy since 6/23/2002!

I know. That would have been a good idea to have both.
I probably should've posted this sooner, but there was a post that revealed some of the 'secret trials' in SMM:
So if you haven't gotten any of those yet, there you go. I know I have Popcorn's... I *think* I have GLOW's, though I'd have to check. DT OLRmy since 6/23/2002!
