According to Fortune Magazine and my sources in the industry the Eva Live action movie is currently being funded and is about halfway with the funds it needs to create the movie... Producers from ADV have raised half of the $100mill to $120mill needed (my source says only $40-50mill raised)... This isnt any major news but for die hard fans of the series this is probally the newiest news thats been out in almost 2 years... The movie is still a LONG ways away and fans shouldnt expect this around 2008-2010

This is actually the first I've heard of this. I wonder how it would really turn out. Generally, anime gone live-action isn't all that hot. Although I would recommend the live-action La Blue Girl movies. It's esentially porn with ninja girls, although nothing really graphic(R or NC17 at worst). I still have some live-action Cutey Honey sitting on the shelf as well.
How happy is your house?

well if they do get this thing funded i would like to see James Cameron take a stab at this... That is if he ever gets his ass out of that undersea crap/Titanic crap he's been doing for the past few years...

La Blue Girl live is funny. Slimy vacuum hoses violate women. Eva was supposed to be animated by WETA which was busy with Narnia recently.

And it was a manga before it was live action.. as with all other manga to movie conversions... I fail to see your point, it's still a great live action series.
The live action Cutie Honey movie kicked ass too.
