Fellow Doctor Who fans? Anyone in the UK?Okay, as our listeners know, I'm a rabid Doctor Who fan. So I'd like to have other geeks such as myself discuss the show, old and new, and spinoffs, here!
Also if anyone's in the UK, send me a Sonic Screwdriver, please. =P
Well you know I'm a Whovian!

I read about another spin-off series called Sarah Jane Adventures, aimed at kids. Reckon it'll be any good?
I guess I qualify - I tend to wander throughout fandom, but have followed Who a lot over the years. Sadly I used to be in Central USA, and only had a few oppurtunities over the years to see anything -- I attended a Time Loop Con back in the early 80s -- they had Mark Strickson, Anthony Ainley at that con. I also caught the John Nathan Turner tour in Wichita -- they brought Betsy (I got to sit in the car), and a semi-trailer that had a bunch of props on it -- including a Dalek, K9 and the Tardis Console.
A couple years ago I got to attend DragonCon here when Peter Davison was a guest. DragonCon has an increasing Who attendance... Check it out at my photoblog site <Here>. [/url]
I'm currently in the depths of my obsession right now.
So I'm really looking forward to seeing the Sarah Jane Adventures on New Year's Day! I saw a clip from it and it looks fantastic. According to Wikipedia, she's going to have her own Sonic Screwdriver and for some reason that makes me giddy.
Woo, Christmas special in 1 day and 20 hours! (yes, I have a countdown widget for it). Do you guys in America get it on the day, wait for it to be broadcast later or download it at soon as it hits the bittorrent networks?
We're not getting the broadcast, sadly, not until it airs on Sci-Fi. I usually download the episodes as soon as they're up on Demonoid. Some lovely folks encode Torchwood about thirty minutes after airing, so I at least get to see it same day. I hope the same thing is happening with the new Christmas Special.
Tell you what's been irritating me, is that I haven't been able to get my IP Proxy thing working so I can see the site for the Sarah Jane Adventures. It's blocked to anyone not in the UK. I'd love for someone to just save the website and send it to me, then I can see what's on it. LOL. Hopeless geek, that would be me.
I'll be better prepared for discussion after I rent it from Netflix. I have seen a couple episodes on the BBC channel and rated it cool enough to rent, at least. ^^;;
geez! i want to see more new Doctor Who! Sci-Fi takes forever!
I had gotten my girlfriend into it after the last 3 episodes. then they had re-runs from Christmas Invasion to the final one when Rose goes away. I miss Rose. Now we gots Martha Jones. hmmm...i'll see for myself how it turns out. oh, well ive seen all the ones with David, and I only missed a few with Christopher. Dont make fun of me or anything, but i actually enjoyed seeing The Doctor and Jack kiss, reminded me of my 2 gay friends from school who i left behind because i had to change schools....for personal reasons...great mates they were. <a href="http://s301.photobucket.com/albums/nn50/thedoctor945/Banners/?action=view¤t=02xgcdotor.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn50/thedoctor945/Banners/02xgcdotor.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
