In case you missed it my second favorite adventure game series is getting a remake and a sequel series this year!
Today's track is "The Ship Song" from Monkey Island 3
Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly.
From Monkey Island 3 (my personal favorite of the series) this song was introduced to us out of no where while sailing the seas for the first time. In order to get the crew to get on with running the ship you've gotta get them to stop singing by following the different dialogue choices and trying to trip them up. It's not really a puzzle but it was damn funny.
PS. NEW MONKEY ISLAND IS COMING OUT WOOOO!!!!!!!!!
While it doesn't have a menacing name, it IS deadly
Today's track is Death Egg Zone 1 from Sonic 3 and Knuckles
Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly
This is the last stage of the fairly acclaimed game Sonic 3 and Knuckles. And this is probably by far the best 2D Sonic game there is. And it shows, the music is fantastic! Every level has astounding themes, though I think the best is Death Egg Zone. The songs captures the space theme and also it gives you the impression that end is near, that the final battle is close to happen! Definitely love it!
If you want to post your opinion about today's track or you've got a song suggestion you would like to see featured from a game let us know in the comments or hit me over at Twitter (@act_deft) and we'll see what we can do about featuring it in an up coming article!
Due to legal reasons I can't make this song available for download directly.
The King of Speed Daytona USA
Let's face it, the vocals in Daytona USA were ridiculous. But the music itself? Nobody can deny how awesome the game's soundtrack was. SEGA AM2 whipped up the perfect OST for speeding across the infamous oval of the Daytona 500, alongside up to seven other racers (depending on if your arcade had the uber-deluxe unit or not)
But, if you hit 'Read More', I've thrown in a bonus song for this week!
