General Bemani News New location tests coming?

Another post on the official DDR Online Community website reveals that there are two upcoming BEMANI location tests; UBeat (The localized version of the seemingly controversially named jubeat), and more importantly... the arcade version of Dance Dance Revolution X!

Click here for the full details, including location info. (This time, it's an arcade in Southern California, good news for those who don't want to trek all the way to Naperville, IL to be able to try DDRX for the first time.)

On our most recent episode, episode #287, we held our very own E3 press conference to announce the following updates/changes:
  • We will be coming together with other AllGames programs to form the voltron of independent podcasting LIVE at PAX. More info is available on the AllGames forums
  • You want it, you got it. Starting next week, by popular demand the OLR podcast will no longer be released in two parts, but in one large episode per week!
  • A new OLRPSP.com is under development, and we're very excited to announce that with the new website, you will be able to add an OLR/AllGames player directly to your PSP crossbar. More information is coming soon, but in the meantime, check out some teaser screenshots behind the Read More link...


Not announced on the show but also of note is that work has begun on a new OLR website that will showcase more frequent updates from your hosts and bring some fresh new faces to our staff to bring us video game reviews and other gaming opinions and insight.

Also, if you'd like to get your creative inner radio dj's going, OLR is currently soliciting the following for airplay on our newly combined show beginning next week:
  • 30 - 60 sec advertisements for other independent podcasts & gaming websites (Must *not* be a for-profit operation)
  • Fake PSA's & Commercials (i.e. "The More You Know")
  • "Bumpers" to bring us back to Orange Lounge Radio (you longtime listeners might remember these)

Video Game News of Interest BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger first playtest location at Anime-Expo 2008!

djtyrant writes "We just received word that Arc Systems fighter BlazBlue will be location testing at Anime-Expo 2008 this year in Los Angeles, CA!

BlazBlue is a new 2D fighting game done by the staff of the very popular Guilty Gear series, so expect a similar style from this game! For more information check out the English site at: http://blazblue.jp/us/. Also check out the press release after the break!

But Konami fired back with their announcement of Rock Revolution. Which looks interesting...to say the least.
