I wanna learn how football works.

As you may know, American Football isn't exactly the most loved sport in Canada. But I really want to learn the rules so that I can try the football games. Anybody know a website or something where I can learn?

We used to have a Canadian Football team here in Sacramento, I actually went to a game they played, believe it or not. Most of the differences come with the timeframes for all plays and such, I noticed Canadian Football was a little faster paced... check out loki's link above or honestly, since we are gamers after all... give a sports title like Madden a try. Rent something current like 06/07, or go a lil ol' school with emulators. If you're like me you'll go real ol school and do Tecmo Bowl :D

When you read LOKI's link, try making some scrimmages with friends to play. I'm in football camp right now and it helps me a lot on how the game works. Tight ends, halfbacks, line men, OL DL, all that good stuff.

Well, I think I ogt the most basic rules down, and I downloaded the NCAA '07 demo, but I still don't get plays. What plays are good for what? And stuff like offside, which I for some reason get a lot of in NCAA, I still don't get.

Plays are sorta like positioned tactics. You have certain players doing certain things on the field to try to get the ball during the play. Offsides means that a player has gone over the line of scrimmage (the imaginary line of where the ball landed last play or the first play).
