Nintendo classics on an iPod is already do-able because of the iBoy, iNes, and iMame.

Yay for iPod Linux.

Here's a pic of the box (and a microscopic gameplay shot) for DDR feat. Strawb-b-b-berry Shortcake:

No FMV in Disney Mix

Postby robbway » Tue Jul 25, 2006 8:11 am

You said something about no FMV in Disney Mix. I don't think the original had any FMV, just animated Disney Characters. They should be able to put the entire game in a PnP system.

I think video in DDR started for the PS2 when DDRMAX 1 came out. Before that the DDR games didn't have much moving backgrounds (if any) before they switched over to DVD.

The Disney DDR game had only static Disney characters over the backgrounds.

Correct, DDR Max introduced FMVs as the backgrounds. the ones that moved in old gaames were like ugly clipart-y things, kindalike the basic "bganimation" pack you get from stepmania.com

Switched to DVD? Max-Extreme were still running on a modified PS1 so they were still on CD. Even when Max home version came out it was still on a CD. It wasn't till Max US and Max 2 JP that it was on DVD. But with SuperNOVA not even having videos the music is what takes up space.

Supernova does have vids, but only for songs from Extreme 2/STR!KE. rest are generic dancer backgrounds.

Yeah I just played it again today and saw that most songs do have videos but those are all the songs that appeared in other mixes. But I play mostly new songs now and the dancer BG is a real lazy way to do things, I don't care if it's just looped videos like in other mixes.

PGR3 Bundles

Postby robbway » Thu Jul 27, 2006 5:43 am

The food warehouse chain, BJ's, already sells a PGR3 bundle. I believe it comes with PGR3, an extra controller and a play n charge kit. However, it was $430, which is still a good deal. BTW, isn't BJ's a GREAT name? :D

Good show not alot of new news, but I still listen on my PSP during my break.

Would like to see or hear more about some killer apps for XBOX360 not interested in Live arcade if you ask me I think its dumb to pay that much for a game on a next gen console, only tells me that there are no games available so here are some old games to buy that you probably allready have.

And now that the PSP has Video RSS was wondering is OLR going to make some video podcast available?

Just want to post a note here that Blu-Ray has more backing than HD-DVD as far as in the movie industry. Just get the head out of the XBOX long enough to see this site.
