What do I need to listen to the show live?

And tomorrow is Sunday, so what time will the show start in central time zone?

WinAmp or the Live365 Player. iTunes if you're on a Mac. I think WinAmp only gets the stream as it comes through as iTunes has a delay in the stream. I don't know about other programs on the PC.

8 PM. Afterbirth at 10, if the three peas in the pod manage to not exceed two hours. :P Fat chance, tho.

You actually don't need anything more than a web browser with some specific addins.

Live365 does have a browser streamer... I don't remember what technology (Java, Flash, etc.) it uses, however, because it's been such a LONG TIME since I've used it.

We highly recommend WinAmp so you can hear it in glorious mp3PRO.

And no, Reenee... everything has a delay, even Winamp. It's all in the design of Live365.

Also, given the triple threat of DDRSN (PS2), DDRUM4 (XBOX), and DDR Universe (360), in addition to Konami's other announced titles, we'll definetly have a full plate Sunday night.

You can get around the delay sometimes... if you connect to the station and get a commercial in your opening, double click the stream to start it again, and sometimes you won't get that commercial. It's the commercial that causes the delay.

Unfortunatley Live365 autodetects iTunes somehow so they always get screwed with a commercial-- I think... I have yet to discover otherwise.

Yes I know Live365 is not the greatest thing in the world BUT... remember all this bandwith has to come from somewhere, and if all the people that listened to our show tried to connect to my cable line, you'd have dropouts every 5 seconds. So... it's a "necessary evil"................ for now.

Install it.
Go back to live365.
Log in (if you have an account) and change your preferences to use an external player.
Go to live365.com/stations/orangelounge and click play.
You shoudl be asked to open or save a playlist file. Open it with winamp, or save it and manually open it with winamp (Whichever works easiest for you).

Press play (if it doesn't play automatically) and you're done!

[edit]
Oops, I almost forgot.
Go here, download and install. Restart winamp, and THEN you'll be mp3PRO enabled.

Ok, thanks Jason.

So at 8:00 tonight I just open winamp, open the OLR playlist, and the live show should be starting?

Well they do have a quick preshow to give everyone time to get in and ready to listen, so you can always tune in early.

Ok, thanks guys.

One last question, how long is the break between the shows usually?

About...10 minutes, depending on any background activities (bathroom breaks, hovering chair races, alcoholic drink chugging, playing tag, pillow fights, fixing that goddamn computer problem, guests attempting to escape, the ferret recharging the batteries of the puppets a.k.a. "hosts", prying Mario Kart DS away from Miklotov, sacrificing to the Porcelain Goddess, preparing the emergency Menchi ration).

You know, the usual.
