iTunes does this, not the iPod. If you stopped in the middle of a song/whatever on an iPod and let it sleep, of course it'll go back to where it left off. But if you choose another song/thing on your iPod and go back to the previously played file, it starts over.

Actually you can do this on the ipod

You do this by first finding the podcast on your ipod.

Right Click it.

Go to 'get info'

Go to the 'options' tab

Then tick the second last box at the bottom.

There now you should be set ^^

Personally, I like the part A part B. It gives me something to look forward to. And I like how it spreads OLR out into the week so I don't have to wait a whole week for a new one.

After the first split episode, I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about the Wednesday posting. I agree with some of the sentiments about not wanting the news to get a few days older, and the sole fact that OLR puts a smile on my face inherently means I want more sooner!

At the same time, this week I had a much different opinion. I listen to podcasts almost exclusively while I'm at work. They're great to listen to while I'm in a trace-like state working on something for an extended period of time. Basically, I rely on podcasts to make the work day even better.

A lot of podcasts come out on Saturday/Sunday, so I get to those on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday gives me nothing. A couple come out on Wednesday night onwards, so I'm good for Thursday and Friday.

Basically, I need something to listen to on Wednesdays, so *personally*, I totally dig the for-Wednesday release, now. I don't think anything's gotten "stale" by that point, and it's just the right amount of time between releases that I'm good and ready, anticipating the next listen.

Ah, Hell. You could just put one out every damn day and I'd listen... >.>
