If you're acquiring OLR podcasts through iTunes, play the new podcast you just got, and stop playing. Move the diamond in the bar at the top where it shows you how much time has elapsed/remaining to the last 10-seconds or so remaining and start playing again. If you hear the *cough*stolenKatmariDamacytune*gag* portion that finishes out the podcast, your podcast is whole and complete. I noticed this tune is always 15 seconds long (13 seconds recently for some reason!) so I know when to start crying.

I noticed that iTunes sometimes doesn't complete the download for some reason, so while the file is okay and will even play on, say, your iPod, you won't hear the rest of it. If this happens, delete the new podcast, restart iTunes (or maybe your computer; iTunes will actually refuse to update for no reason), and update the podcast again. If iTunes refuses to update even after all of that, wait some time (a few minutes) and try again. While it's downloading, I like to make sure that I'm not browsing the internet or downloading something in the background and making sure that iTunes is the frontmost application.
