Battle Loadrunner for VC

Postby robbway » Wed Apr 04, 2007 11:18 am

You mentioned Hudson's Battle Loadrunner coming to the VC on the Wii. From a little bit of research, it does appear to be a version of Lode Runner. The spelling threw me off, so I had to check. "Load"runner must be the Engrish spelling for "vein of ore." Either that, or it's some sort of tentacle porn.

Dragon's Curse is a hard, but fun game! I had the Master System and I think it was Wonder Boy and the Dragon's Curse, or "Monster" something "Land". Think of it as Metroid lite, because you collect these "monster curses" that have different abilities. You switch between forms to solve platform puzzles.

Well loderunner's always been one of my favorites ever since I played on the Mac version (<3 LOKI) in high school, and having an awesome multiplayer version on the TG16, would be killer.

EDIT: going back and re-reading your post... WB3 and the Dragon's Trap? (SMS) That game alone makes me wish the VC supported SMS games.

When talking about MGS4 you guys were assuming that Japan will get it first but this is not the case for MGS. If you remember for the past years the US gets the game before Japan as you may figure out because we don't get a bunch of spoilers before the game release. This happens because Kojima wants to give the US a gift since MGS sells better here. To be fair usually they add more stuff to the JP version since there is more time.

The NES version on VC is exactly as I remember the Master System Game. I remember it fondly because it got me thru my first day of having all four wisdom teeth yanked.

But I agree, some SMS games are worth having around.

Don't you mean TG16? I just found out yesterday that it's the exact same game as the SMS one. (Which would whittle my list down to Black Belt, Astro Warrior, and Ghostbusters.)
