Linksys WRT54G Live Problem

Postby L3PA » Wed Aug 09, 2006 8:18 am

I have a WRT54G (and I just invested over $500.00 in my Xbox 360, I don't plan to invest anymore ^_^) Linksys router. I've searched Google for hours, read through the Xbox.com forums. I don't understand what I should do with it to be able to connect to Xbox Live.

Can anyone point me to an article, or explain this to me? Thanks in advance!

I might be missing something but... you shouldn't have to do anything.
Turn it on, plug the uplink end to your cable modem or in general, whatever hardware you have to connect to the big digital highway, plug your 360 into one of the other ports on the unit itself, and then uhhh, connect to Xbox live...

Is there a problem you're having?

You take a Ethernet cable, plug it into the router, plug the router into your modem, and away you go.

If you were hoping the 360 would magically connect to the Wi-Fi network, you can't. you have to buy a 100$ adapter first.

Nah I didn't think it would magically accept it, but it is on Xbox.com's list of compatible routers.

So are you trying to connect to LIVE wirelessly or with a wired connection?
