HELP finding a game

Postby LocoRoco » Tue Aug 08, 2006 8:02 pm

Help, im getting bored of conventional games, i've been playing alot of CS:S lately and it is starting to go the same path of most games i play, i get bored of it and stop playing in a short period(could this be just from playing the hell out of games, usually i play for a atleast 8 hours at the least each day now that its summer :D ), typically i play fast paced fps and touch almost every genre. So im looking for a game that will hold my attention for a while or atleast till i cant advance anyfurther, hopefully a non-typical origanal game(this is why i like loco roco so much), i was thinking about getting Katamari Damacy, also i was wondering if I should try the one genre i have yet to try...the dreaded music genre(like DDR). Also my parents dont like MMO's, every since I got totally addicted to Runescape, lol, anyways since then no MMO has held my attention that i snuck past them. thanks for your help in advance.

Cave Story, if you haven't played it already. It's awesome.

Edit: Oh, it would help if I read the post first. You want a game to play for a month or so. Can't help you there. My attention span isn't long enough for that kind of game. Albatross18 is as close as I've gotten lately, and it's an online golf game. Both games linked in this post are free, unless you decide to buy upgrades in Albatross18.

Of course, you can always get addicted to the PS2 online versions of Tony Hawk's Underground 1 or 2, if you haven't played that genre to death yet. I played THUG1 for about an hour or two a day for a whole year. Those aren't free, but they're dirt cheap.

If you liked the originality of LocoRoco, you should give Warioware a chance. :D

Since you have a PSP, Lumines, Me and My Katamari, Exit, Wipeout Pure, Hot Shots Golf are all very good games to play 5 minutes at a time or for as long as you like.

Although the PSP version of Katamari has LOOOONNNNGGGG load screens.
