Rock Band gameplay

Wow. That may be a rip off of Guitar Freaks, Drummania, Karaoke Revolution, and Guitar Hero but damn does that look fun.

Well at least they did design KR & GH, so that kinda their idea. Kinda.

But it definetly looks like an absolute blast!

You know. This is what I always wanted as a teen and never got.

I wanted Bemani games to be linkable past GF and DM (yes, KBM did too, but I still wanted more).

I think the snafu here is that the lyrics are probably going to be generally much too small, and if you have a small TV it'll be even worse.

The good?
How the full bar indicates the usage of the kick drum; and the wailing (oops, lol, I meant ending) bonus looks COOL. Go crazy without penalty, I can only imagine the number people that wanted to do that for such a long time.

Activision knows the score with typical music gamers. Seriously.
I have high hopes for this game.

P.S. I call drums, you losers can twang your strings. I'll manage the beat down :D.

****...

Okay, I call vocals!

Seriously, this game does look like a rip-off, but a pretty good one, I'm seriously considering getting the game.

(And maybe we can have the OLRmy band XD)

I wonder. If they use that same interface at release, it might be hard for the vocalist. That video made it look like the vocalist section was small.

anyone know which console/consoles RockBand will be on?
because if it comes out on 360 then maybe it will support Xbox Live online multiplayer, and that could be awesome

However if its Wii then they might do friend codes :x
and if its only PS3 (extremely unlikely) then there isn't exactly the biggest online community.

Its coming out on both PS3 and X360... No word/announcement on the Wii (Harmonix chief is interested in having a limited port to the Wii).... But both PS3 and X360 will have the same online multiplayer features/playability...

yeah but now I don't know if I want the PS3 or 360 version. PS3 does come with a better guitar.

Is this true? I haven't heard anything about a difference between the 360 and PS3 guitars. I may have missed it though

PS3 gets a wireless guitar packed in but the 360 gets wired. I read that you can buy a wireless 360 guitar separately but it's also more expensive. Of course this is all due to MS who are a pain in the ass about controllers and doesn't want anyone else to make money off them.
