But anyways i wonder if this takeover could be the start of something else... Maybe its own Drummania type of game... Imagin playing Rush or Slayer on the drums in your home... With that it just opens things up for games that include all instruments... National Rankings for bands... Oh man the possibilities...

Everyone wanted it, they just didn't think it could be done. I mean, how many accessories is this going to need? To get a whole band together, you're probably going to have to spend a lot of money.

Kotaku had a short article on the price of all the accessories according to Gamestop...

They list guitar controllers for $59.99, a $40 microphone, and a drum set that comes in at $79.99. If you figure in two guitars (for bass) that's $240 for a full set, on top of $60 for the game. They also list a wireless guitar for $80, though since they have a listing for both the PS3 and the 360 they either know something we don't about Microsoft's no third party wireless policy changing, or they're full of shit.

This could all very well be BS (especially the 3rd party thing with 360)... But seriously $240 to jam out with my friends is not that worth it... And i dont think they are going to want to split the cost either...

I will be very content if this game becomes marketed towards the hardcore market. High cost, but incredible production values. I will happily spring for a capable drum controller.

This game also excites me because I want to see how Harmonix goes about this. It's been one of those ideas that I didn't think would be feasible but here they are. I hope they emphasize the live jamming aspect somehow.
