According to Joystiq.... Guitar Hero 80's Edition will be coming out in either June or July for the PS2... I didn't realize that it would be this soon... Nice

Thats right man. That song is like awsome.

As much as I agree... I don't know if it has enough guitar in it to work on GH 80s... Maybe if they publish the inevitable 'Keytar Hero' then possibly they could include it.

that's rite. the song is all synth.

This comment was not appreciated when you posted it. Less now that you have added to it. Attacking another member's musical tastes is not something we welcome here. So make your edits worthwhile.

Ugh. Another thing we don't appreciate is the constant mutilation of the English language.

EDIT: One last thing, please stop making double posts.

Gotta agree here. It's nice to hear it will come out sooner rather than later. I have been putting of purchasing the 360 version for a while and so I think I will put my savings towards the new PS2 game instead.

As a slight unrelated note GH 2 will be releasing an 80's themed songpack for the 360.... Here are some of the songs that will be in there....

# I Wanna Rock (by Twisted Sister)
# I Ran (by Flock of Seagulls)
# Round and Round (as made famous by Ratt)
# I Want Candy (as made famous by Bow Wow Wow)
# Metal Health (as made famous by Quiet Riot)
# Holy Diver (as made famous by Dio)
# Heat Of The Moment (as made famous by Asia)

http://kotaku.com/gaming/no-no-no-no-no ... 259279.php

An ok songpack from what it looks... "I wanna Rock" makes sense... Flock of Seagulls? why them, i don't remember any memorable riffs from I Ran... "Round and Round" great choice, i predicted it would be in a GH game and it did... "I Want Candy" didn't think that was the 80's but ok... Quiet Riot makes sense... Dio, "Holy Diver" great choice... "Heat of the Moment" meh, ok song but a little popish for me...

Anyways it seems that GH is trying to appeal to the Pop fans with I Ran and I Want Candy which i think is ok...

On a related note i wouldn't be surprised if all of these if not some end up on the 80's mix game...

Those songs are not coming in an add-on pack, those are tracks from the new PS2 game Guitar Hero Rocks the 80s or whatever they're calling it.

Interesting choices. "I Ran" and "Holy Diver" are the two there that I know best, and I rather like both of them, so.... rock.

Perhaps this foretells a spreading of the game's franchise to include less "rocky" songs?

Perhaps I am merely speculating.

No Harmoix involvement tells me that the probability of Freezepop being in the game is slim to none.

All my point was, was that freezepop's songs aren't exactly "Rocky".

Then you countered my point with a completely logical point, considering that Freezepop's Duke works at Harmonix, and... yeah.
