Clover Studio isn't the best-known developer in the world, but it's sad to see that Capcom have decided that profits come before new and interesting games.

Clover Studio Co., Ltd. has met the goal of developing unique and creative original home video game software, however, in view of promoting a business strategy that concentrates management resources on a selected business to enhance the efficiency of the development power of the entire Capcom group, the dissolution of Clover Studio Co., Ltd. has been raised and passed at a Board of Directors’ meeting.

Then again, from Clover's Wikipedia page it looks as though all they did was churn out Viewtiful Joe Sequels anyway.

Well, it's a shame to see the Clover label fade away, as they did make life quite Viewtiful for all of us.

But it's not the end for the Atsushi Inaba, Clover's director. He's still going on to develop more games, despite the loss of his own dev studio.

May Clover be forever known as making the greatest 3rd party adventure game of all time: Okami.

I'm sad to see clover so, I have never been to attached to the viewtiful Joe games, but being recently attached to Okami I see what clover can do and it is sad to see them go right after such a good game just came out too.
