I just wanted to know what you guys (and gals) think of handrails. I think they are bullshit. The guys who use the rails to hold their body up and just let their feet fly. Lame.

Now, I cant speak, I dont play much DDR, (Im poor! I have A ddr- like homebrew on my psp if that counts) except for at my friends house.

But yeah, I think rails on either side of the pad is just too lame.

You see this is what we call bar rape. But yes you are right it doesn't take much to constantly use the bar. I only use it to pull my self along if I'm losing balance and for fast 10's and up I really can't get my speed up unless I rape the bar.

i use one handed on some 10's, otherwise i cant keep my balance during the streams

Uhh, yeah. Good luck playing 13 footers with no bar in ITG..

I only use the bar for <=10's, I've learned to appreciate it.

Yeah. Pretty much can play no bar on most 9's and below. 10's 11's and 12's are bar.

I haven't been playing music games forever, and I usually play Light mode steps to songs, but normally keep a hand near or on the bar so I have a point of reference for where the back edge of the pad is. I can't say I bar rape, though.

It's not a matter of NEEDING the bar for DDR, I just use it to help my Perfect Attack in efforts to AAA more songs.

I only use it on PS/M crossovers with one hand for the ending deathruns. XD Otherwise, I'd slip and fall (Happened before)
