Since they call 7key mode IIDX that would also be too confusing but I'm still hoping the next one will be RED, it also makes the most sense since we don't really get numbers past 2.

I'm sure you've all heard the numbers of this game huh? if you have yet to nothing good and the game flopped. My hopes for a 2nd mix vanished :emo:

its not really our fault it flopped. and it also doesnt mean we wont have a second mix. it may just be awhile. remember ps1 ddr?

They could just pick up from the JP releases. Introduce RED by calling it Beatmania: RED, Beatmania: BLUE(Happy Sky), Beatmania: DistorteD, etc.

I think it will be alot sooner than later. It wasn't a flop in Konami's eyes and they sold what they expected to sell. Don't think that that will be the only series they bring over as well.

Why, do you think they'll also bring over GF? I'm assuming they do have plans, since the V2 machine was at E3? Maybe they're planning a V2-esque home version, I dunno.

I think if they ever brought GF over, they would compare it too much to Guitar Hero and complain how it's a rip off or something.

I'm keeping my GF controller for GF/DM 5 though

Guitar Freaks will NOT offer anything to the players that Guitar Hero didn't already do *EXCEPT* videos/visualizations.

2 less notes chords (1 if you count open pick), "wailing" super bonus! is not new (Guitar Hero used the guitar wail to activate star power mode), a more 'flat interface', god only knows what Konami will do to the music when localized, etc.
All these things are why Guitar Hero WILL win over Guitar Freaks if Konami dares to bring it over.
(P.S. People don't give two craps about difficulty, that will not sell Guitar Freaks.)

Now, if Konami brought over Drum Mania FIRST, and then complemented it with Guitar Freaks, maybe they stand a better chance of keeping the franchise open.

However, they absolutely CAN NOT dip below the Vest series when doing so.
Admittedly, as I already said, V doesn't have anything new except mechanical red interface and music videos, and that's only for NEW songs.

Remember kids, licensing music videos is why MTV stopped playing music .
