What's with the huge file size and what's an aiff filetype?

I'm just downloading it now so i'll give you my opinion in a while.
*20minute download later*
Ok Dude first thing 100megs for 20 minutes of audio, are you crazy?
Convert this to mp3 or something because that's just insane.

Also how old are you guys it sounds like a bunch of smurfs.

Also don't try to do crazy radio voices "whoa k now it's ti-ime for some ccrraaaaaaaazy news!!!!" ok maybe not that bad but you do try to do over the top voices when introducing things.

On the upside the audio qaulity isn't bad. But you guys need to sit closer to the mic and don't move around it. It's really annoying to hear you all fade in and out as you muck around.

I do have to legitimately ask.
What program are you using?

AIFF and AU and SND and all those are so bollocks old it's ridiculous.

I know about the radio voices. It's my friends, I just can't control them. I'm using audacity, and I am in the process of learning how to use it. My friends and I are about 13. I have an internal mic on my mac, and i can't fit 6 teens around it. Is Mp3 a smaller file than AIFF? I have to start using it.

Compare the size/length of your files compared to OLRs...

6 teens crowded around an internal mic is going to produce very lousy quality. I know it's hard to do much else when your 13, but you might want to either look at doing a solo show with a decen headset mic($20 or so will get you a fair one, or if you have the PS2 USB headset, that's not too bad either) or look into other options. Audacity works just fine for a free program. You'll just need to convert the audio file from .wav(or whatever you have it set on) to .mp3 or something. There's free audio conversion programs available or even itunes will do it.

Like they said dude try searching google for something like "wav to mp3 audio converter" because yes an mp3 file would be about 7-12meg or so instead of the current 100 meg for each show.

If you'va got a group of people try splurging on a free standing mic, you could get a good one for about $20 or so. Then have you all sit in a circle around it.

Also it might be an idea to maybe cut down the people in your show to 3 or give extras there own segments as too many people have too much to say and it can get confusing for the audience.

Audacity can export straight to MP3, so you don't need to save as wav then MP3.

Just go straight to MP3.

For voice, you typically don't need much more than... oh, I don't know.
Well, OLR runs at 32kbit mp3PRO, which is equivalent (more or less) to 64kbit normal mp3.

So you DEFINATELY don't need to go over 128kbit.

I... don't think I installed a plugin. (Now that I think about it... maybe I have?)

If it does, the point still stands that it can go straight to MP3. My installation has the capability, so it must be possible.
