Hope ya don't mind I moved it over to PC gaming (I mean I'm sure nobody gives a fuck...)

But I've heard of those games, never really got a chance to play them first-hand on original hardware though.... I think there's ways to play both of em online, tho I don't know offhand...

Never played Zork and only found out about Maniac Mansion AFTER playing the sequel Day of the Tentacle (which I thought was better).

I could do a whole show on commodore 64 memories if the others would let me  . Zork I was actually the first game I ever owned on the Commodore 64. It was a little tough for a 6-7 year old at the time, I remember getting eaten by a grue a whole lot :) . One of my favorite scenes in gaming EVER is the opening movie to Return To Zork... where you see the words "You are standing in front of a White House. There is a Mailbox here." and the words come to life for the first time in glorious rendered CD movie footage. LOL.

I DEMAND a c64 show. Nay, the WORLD demands a c64 show.

Or even Apple IIe or TI99-4A.
