Meet up with fellow OLR listeners in your favorite multiplayer video games. Remember the cardinal rule of the OLRmy: Don't be a dick.
We aren't abandoning the idea, it just didn't work this time.
Scot was mad that I asked the people I play with all the time to be in my team. He wanted them for himself and seemed to get really upset over it so we just gave up. I was pretty much told that I wasn't allowed to pick people that I played with since it was "his" squad.
So, to be honest, I didn't have a team either. :>
Divas. All of ya.
Don't forget that Allgames has a tourney system built into it which is really good for holding tournies (See the Street FIghter 2 tourney). We can use it whenever we want, right Bobby?
Our biggest problem is participation though. I mean, we have a pool of literally thousands of listeners between OLR, AGI, BB & GamerAndy, even more than that if the other AGI shows participate too. Maybe we just need to entice with really great prizes or something.
Or... and I was just randomly thinking about this... Maybe people just don't want to do the competitive gaming thing yet. Considering these OLRmy forums haven't been up very long but are getting decent response, It seems to me folks are more interested in meeting up and just playing together in a less competitive environment. I'm not sure :emo: (it makes me emo wondering about all this lol)
It would be cool if listeners of a certain level were also allowed to host torunaments of their own on Allgames.
As for the whole competitive thing, we'll just have to play some games that don't feel as competetive, like Burnout.
That's one scary similie.
Hah well usually CH isn't all that competitive except for this. Usually me and my squad go against the computer so it's all cooperative anyway.
One of the things you guys may want to do, though, is what GamerAndy does. A "Game With Not So Fame" night where you can say "We'll be playing Burnout Revenge at this time on this date" and anyone can come join y'all. Something like that.
And yes, OLR can have a tourney sponsored with their logo and everything. Right now we don't want to dilute the tourney system by having a bunch of them going on at once so we're keeping tight control over what tourneys occur when.
