(Sorry that's the only banner I could find that'd work)

(Editor's note: I was gonna wait till tomorrow to post this, but I thought it was just gonna get lost in all the E3 epicness, so I tossed it up on monday.)

Continuing my month-long look at the BEMANI series, this week I'll be taking a look at the ORIGINAL band simulation games, Guitar Freaks & drummania! For those of you today who have played the hell out of games like Guitar Hero and ROCKBAND, these games by Konami actually beat GH by about seven years. Hit the jump to read the details on these ground-breaking music games!

(For legal reasons I can't make this song available for download.)

I'm doing another one this week, as a request by @taitaisanchez on twitter! You want more Osamu Kubota, you got it! Good thing I really liked this classic from back in the day. It's particularly epic to say the least.

Mixing both some very epic opera-ish sounding music with some unmistakably-Konami synth sounds, this is definetly my #2 favorite from 4th Style. (My #1 of course being Absolute!)

- Original Version
- Milestone remix, by Sota Fujimori feat. Sana
For legal reasons I can't make these available for download directtly.

As with last week's pick, I thought I'd mention what IIDX song I list as my favorite. Back in the day it was definetly Absolute, back in IIDX 4th Style, but then after hearing this track from 8th, I totally loved it just a little bit more. I can't describe what it is about TAKA's work that I love so much, you just have to listen for yourselves.

Sometime in 2007, there was an album released called 'Milestone', which featured one disc of many of TAKA's tracks from throughout IIDX's history, but the 2nd disc was way more interesting. Several of TAKA's other songs, all remixed by a different BEMANI artist. For Rainbow Flyer it was left to Konami mainstay Sota Fujimori (Look to the Sky) While I'm not the biggest fan of Sana Shintani's vocals in this version, I did like the remix that Sota came up with.

We are back after a live break and jump right into a barrage of E3 rumors. Could it be that Harmonix will unveil a dancing game for Project Natal at this E3? Is there truth about the rumors of Hulu on Xbox Live? Who recently left Microsoft? And yes, more discussion on this whole ten dollar thing comes back yet again... NEVAR FORGET! In part B tonight, we talk a bit about music games including a new iPhone game from the Parappa creator... but sadly there are no cartoon animals to be found. Goldeneye, Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi are all poised to make a big return... and also soon to make a big splash? BROADWAY in your LIVING ROOM. Okay... maybe that will just be at Robs house. All this and MORE including your chatroom antics, live phone calls, twitter topics, e-mails and everything we can think of to give EVERY gamer a voice here at Orange Lounge Radio
