In an extra long episode of Orange Lounge Radio this week, the cast is joined by Jessica Harper aka IguanaGrrl of Under Sedation Live to reminisce about the "Good ol days" of the DDR Scene. Some very surprising stories are told, lots of laughs are had, and we fit in some gaming news too on topics such as Valves new Defense of the Ancients game and a fan made Duke Nukem 3D game.

The cast plays a round of Listless in Part B which yields some surprising and hilarious results, and we talk to some of our callers about the New York Comic-Con. All this and more including e-mails, twitter topics and chatroom antics on a long episode of Orange Lounge Radio.

captain-jack

Can you believe it's been half a decade since the artist known as Captain Jack passed away? Man, where does the time go?! For many a fan of Konami's Dance Dance Revolution series, this artist has had many of his songs featured in the well-known rhythm game series, and I thought I'd share a few of my favorites! So DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY! ... and after that hit the jump!

New Handheld system from Panasonic, WoW Cataclysm, DC Universe Online, OnLive, NBA Jam, Capcom Wii games, Piracy on Nintendo, Sonic 4, Duke Nukem Forever and MORE on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice: Orange Lounge Radio!

The whole cast is back this week on a very special day, 10/10/10. Is it just us or did everyone have a wedding to go to today? Oh well, we discuss the latest in gaming news including a new handheld system... but is this really a competitor to the DS or is it more like a toaster? You better believe Rob Roberts is happy about the Cataclysm release date news... but also sad about the DC Universe Online delay. NBA Jam is accused of being politically biased... WHAT?? Our live chatters have a fun time with that one, even if we have to invoke the sad trombone and the sad tuba. E-mails, Twitter Topics, Live Phones and MORE round out this week on Orange Lounge Radio.

ILTS-BBD

(Can't link you to download this, sorry.)

First of all, I have to say it's kinda ironic that one of the lines is 'Pushing all the buttons', just seemed kinda funny considering... At any rate, today marks ten years since our very own Rob Roberts lost his 'DDR virginity' to a machine in the arcade. Which would eventually lead to himself, DarkSakura and LOKI to start Orange Lounge Radio in the summer of 2002!

I was originally going to do the very first song I ever played, but I'm sure 'Have You Never Been Mellow' would've put you to sleep. So, I went with the 2nd song I ever learned to do after that!

One of the early 'Dancemania' tracks Konami had obtained the rights to, this song made its debut in the Japanese Dance Dance Revolution 2nd MIX. It was later included in both the original US release of DDR, as well as the home version when it was released on PSX.

Later on Konami would include the 'KOG G3' remix in their next game, Dance Dance Revolution 3rd MIX. Unfortunately no word on an 'X-Edit' re-cut appearing in a recent game... so if you wanna play this you'll have to locate a copy of the US PSX original (or Extreme 2, which has the KOG G3 version as an unlock.)

Liked this pick? Tired of the BEMANI-crack? Want to see a song featured here? contact us on twitter: @darktetsuya and @act_deft!
