For many a fan of Konami's Dance Dance Revolution series, this artist has had many of his songs featured in the well-known rhythm game series, and I thought I'd share a few of my favorites! First of all, I have to say it's kinda ironic that one of the lines is 'Pushing all the buttons', just seemed kinda funny considering... At any rate, today marks ten years since our very own Rob Roberts lost his 'DDR virginity' to a machine in the arcade. Which would eventually lead to himself, DarkSakura and LOKI to start Orange Lounge Radio in the summer of 2002!
I was originally going to do the very first song I ever played, but I'm sure 'Have You Never Been Mellow' would've put you to sleep. So, I went with the 2nd song I ever learned to do after that!
One of the early 'Dancemania' tracks Konami had obtained the rights to, this song made its debut in the Japanese Dance Dance Revolution 2nd MIX. It was later included in both the original US release of DDR, as well as the home version when it was released on PSX.
Later on Konami would include the 'KOG G3' remix in their next game, Dance Dance Revolution 3rd MIX. Unfortunately no word on an 'X-Edit' re-cut appearing in a recent game... so if you wanna play this you'll have to locate a copy of the US PSX original (or Extreme 2, which has the KOG G3 version as an unlock.)
